Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Telcommunications Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar visited Mangalagiri AIIMS hospital in Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Friday. He inspected the inpatient outpatient wards and enquired about the facilities with the patients himself. Along with the medical officers, he enquired about the facilities, issues and other details. “More than 95% of the patients are satisfied with the services and facilities here.

Here we are getting to know the details to facilitate co-ordination with the State Government as well as the Central Government. Of the 960 beds required, only 600 are available. Similarly, only 20 beds are available in the ICU against the requirement of 96. More than 2 lakh 73 thousand patients are being served here.

We are taking steps to provide services to more and more patients. Pharmacy medical stores are suffering due to shortages, fewer buses, bus shelters or patients. A couple of buses will be available as soon as the election code ends. I thank Nara Lokesh for providing these buses,” the Central Minister said.
