Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy advised Congress legislators to strictly adhere to the party line during the ongoing Budget Session debates and avoid unnecessary discussions about the failures of the previous government. Instead, he urged members to focus on presenting the government’s vision, achievements, and future plans aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting held on Monday. He directed all Congress MLAs and MLCs, including women legislators, to attend the Assembly and Legislative Council sessions without fail and participate actively in the discussions.

Stressing the importance of discipline and coordination in the House, CM Revanth Reddy called for close cooperation between Government Whips and party legislators during the debates. He said the Whips should coordinate with members in selecting issues and topics for discussion and ensure that the proceedings are conducted effectively without wasting valuable House time.

The Chief Minister noted that the government will present its third budget during the current session. He described the Governor’s address as a roadmap that outlines the government’s priorities and development agenda. According to him, the direction being set through this roadmap will also shape the political agenda for the upcoming elections.

CM Revanth Reddy also emphasized the need for women legislators to play a more active role in the debates and discussions. He said every member must contribute meaningfully while maintaining the dignity and integrity of the legislative system.

Recalling the functioning of the previous BRS government, the Chief Minister stated that the opposition was often denied opportunities to raise important issues in the Assembly. He pointed out that former CLP leaders Bhatti Vikramarka and K. Jana Reddy were not allowed to speak on several occasions and recalled that he himself had once been suspended and barred from entering the House during a session.

The Chief Minister further informed that Assembly committees will be constituted soon. He advised MLAs and MLCs to study best governance practices in other states and apply them in Telangana.

He also urged legislators to pay special attention to the drinking water challenges expected during the summer months and to take the “99 Day Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika” directly to the people at the grassroots level.
