CSR funding expands breakfast for TG Students

In a major boost to Telangana's school breakfast program, the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF) has partnered with Divi's Laboratories Ltd and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd to establish two state-of-the-art centralized community kitchens and upgrade an existing facility, strengthening efforts to provide nutritious breakfasts to government school children across the state.

Divi's Laboratories has contributed Rs 12.18 crore to set up a new greenfield kitchen at Choutuppal, which will serve breakfast to around 60,000 students studying in 1,234 government schools and junior colleges across 31 mandals in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri and Nalgonda districts. Aurobindo Pharma has pledged Rs 10 crore to establish a brownfield centralized kitchen at Sangareddy and modernize the existing kitchen at Kodangal. Together, these facilities will provide breakfast to nearly 85,000 students across 1,264 schools and junior colleges in 43 mandals spanning Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Narayanpet and Mahabubnagar districts.

The contributions were formally presented to HKMCF President Sriman Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Swamiji in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The Chief Minister lauded both companies for supporting the initiative, which aims to eliminate classroom hunger and improve learning outcomes. HKMCF thanked the state government and its corporate partners for advancing a program that combines nutrition with access to quality education for thousands of children.
