YSRCP leader and former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi was given a shock by the AP Special Investigation Team(SIT) on Wednesday. Two more cases have been registered against him.One of them relates to cheating 128 farmers by not providing compensation provided by the government to the farmers in Mallavalli industrial area. Another case has also been registered against Vamsi and his associates for grabbing land on the pretext of registering a farm in the dispute settlement of Sridhar Reddy of Telaprolu.

Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, the main accused in the case of threatening and abducting Mudunuri Satyavardhan, the complainant in the Gannavaram TDP office attack case, Velineni Venkata Sivaramakrishna Prasad, the seventh accused, and Nimma Lakshmipathi, the eighth accused, were taken into custody from Vijayawada district jail on Tuesday morning.

They were interrogated at Krishna Lanka Police Station. On the other hand, a memo was filed in the court on Tuesday seeking cancellation of Vamsi's three-day custody. The memo was filed by the accused's lawyer in the SC/ST atrocity cases trial court. As per the court's order, the place where the accused will be tried should first be intimated to the lawyers on their behalf and the lawyers will have the opportunity to talk to the accused three to four times during the trial. The lawyer petitioned that the investigating officers did not inform him of these things and hence sought cancellation of the police custody.
