The Principal Secretary, Energy, Government of Telangana, Sandeep Kumar Sultani has reviewed the implementation of Summer Action Plan of Northern Discom TGNPDCL to meet the increasing loads during this on-going Rabi season.

He cautioned the engineers to be more alert during the coming months in view of expected peak demand crossing 17,500 MW. He expressed satisfaction over present power supply position in the state and appreciated all the employees of power sector for their efforts in providing quality,reliable & uninterrupted power supply.

TGNPDCL CMD K. Varun Reddy apprised that as part of reducing overload, the works of new substations, feeders and interlinking lines to provide alternative power supply have been completed. Principal Secretary, Energy further instructed to deploy the Emergency Response Team (ERT) Vehicles effectively for immediate rectification/replacement of troublesome distribution transformers, if any, to save the standing crops.
