District Collector P. Praveenya underscored the importance of parental involvement in shaping students’ academic success and overall development.

She addressed a parents’ meeting at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana BC Welfare Gurukul School for Girls in Jogipet on Thursday, held as part of welfare week celebrations under the 99-day Praja Palana Pragati programme. During her visit, she inspected the campus and classrooms and interacted with students to assess their academic progress and available facilities.

The Collector highlighted that parents must closely monitor their children’s education and stay in regular touch with teachers. She encouraged them to share suggestions for school improvement and report any concerns promptly. She also noted that complaint boxes may be introduced to ensure grievances of students and parents are addressed effectively. She said the government is providing quality education, textbooks, uniforms, nutritious food, and regular health check-ups in welfare hostels. Awareness was also created among parents about facilities in residential schools.

Later, prizes were distributed to students who secured top ranks in Classes 5 to 9 for the 2025–26 academic year. Officials, staff, parents, and students attended the programme.
