metro india news  I hyderabad : Unemployed youth in Telangana are preparing to launch another protest demanding that the State government fill vacant posts across departments. A massive rally is planned for November 7, with thousands of job aspirants expected to participate. The rally is likely to proceed from RTC Crossroads or Ashok Nagar to Dharna Chowk.

Organised by the Unemployed Joint Action Committee (JAC), the protest seeks recruitment notifications for Group-I, Group-II, Group-III and Group-IV posts, along with vacancies under the District Selection Committee (DSC), Forest Beat Officer recruitment, GPO and other departments.

Growing frustration among aspirants

Unemployed youth allege that recruitment notifications are irregular, examinations are delayed and results remain pending even after tests are completed. Many say they have spent years preparing for competitive examinations, attending coaching centres and taking loans to meet educational expenses, but remain without jobs. Organisers said the rally was not affiliated with any political party and aimed to highlight the common concerns of job seekers across Telangana.

According to figures cited by aspirants, Andhra Pradesh has issued Group-I notifications five times and Group-II notifications four times since 2014, compared with one Group-I and two Group-II notifications in Telangana. They also cited Andhra Pradesh’s recent recruitment initiatives, including a District Selection Committee notification covering more than 2,000 teaching posts.

Demanding similar recruitment drives in Telangana, aspirants urged the government to issue notifications regularly and fill vacancies without further delay. They warned that failure to address their demands would intensify the agitation, with unemployed youth seeking to demonstrate their political strength in upcoming graduate constituency, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and municipal elections.

Rising cost of preparation

Candidates said coaching fees, accommodation and other expenses had made examination preparation increasingly difficult. They expressed disappointment over investing substantial amounts and years of effort without clear prospects of securing government jobs.

Demand for recruitment calendar

Protesters accused the Congress government of failing to address unemployment, alleging that its approach was no different from that of the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government.

The November 7 rally is expected to press for a comprehensive recruitment plan, immediate release of pending notifications, timely examinations, faster declaration of results and a transparent recruitment calendar.
