On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the devotional song “Shivoham”, dedicated to Lord Shiva, was launched in a grand ceremony at the Hyderabad Film Chamber. Presented by Radhakeshav and produced by Pottapu Keshava Reddy, the song is directed by Damu Reddy, composed by Yashokrishna, and sung by renowned Malayalam vocalist Madhu Balakrishnan. Shivoham will be telecast on Keertana TV in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

The event was graced by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Madabhinavoddanda Vidyashankara Bharati Mahaswamiji, Peethadhipathi of Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Pushpagiri Mahasansthanam, along with actor Tanikella Bharani, lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja, and actor Gautam Raju.

Music director Yashokrishna expressed happiness over the release coinciding with Maha Shivaratri, calling it a blessing to compose music for such a devotional project. Director Damu Reddy said the song was produced in Hindi and major South Indian languages with the intention of deepening spiritual devotion among devotees.

Producer Pottapu Keshava Reddy described it as an honor to launch Shivoham in the presence of Sri Vidyashankara Bharati Mahaswamiji and said the song carries both devotion and a meaningful message.

Actor Tanikella Bharani said he felt blessed to perform in Shivoham, which was shot at the Isha Foundation premises with special permission. He praised Damu Reddy’s direction, Yashokrishna’s music, Suddala Ashok Teja’s simple yet profound lyrics, and Madhu Balakrishnan’s soul-stirring rendition, expressing hope that the song would resonate with devotees nationwide.

Lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja reflected on Lord Shiva’s symbolism of equality and harmony, explaining how Shiva’s forms—especially Ardhanarishvara—convey profound life lessons. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to present the song before such esteemed guests.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Vidyashankara Bharati Mahaswamiji said releasing Shivoham on Maha Shivaratri was a divine blessing, emphasizing the Advaita philosophy of equality embodied by Lord Shiva. The event was anchored by noted lyricist Maunashree Mallik.
