Revanth Reddy kicks off mega road plan

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday launched a slew of infrastructure projects in Nalgonda district, including a Rs 13,006-crore statewide road development programme and an Rs 83-crore drinking water scheme for Nalgonda Municipality, underscoring the State government's focus on improving road connectivity and urban infrastructure.

During his visit, the Chief Minister unveiled the foundation stone pylon for the ambitious Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road project at Kanagal. The programme envisages the development and strengthening of 441 key roads spanning 6,092.37 kilometres across Telangana at an estimated cost of Rs 13,006.27 crore.

Revanth Reddy also laid the foundation stone for Phase-I of the Nalgonda Municipal Corporation's drinking water project, which includes the construction of a water treatment plant at a cost of ₹83 crore to enhance potable water supply for the growing urban population.

Later, addressing a public meeting at Nagarjuna Degree College in Nalgonda, the Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to accelerating infrastructure development and improving civic amenities across the State.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Adluri Laxman Kumar, MP Raghuveera Reddy, MLAs Jaiveer Reddy, Bathula Laxma Reddy and Balu Naik, and MLC Nellikanti Satyam were present.
