Bharat Rashtra Samithi Working President K. T. Rama Rao unveiled the party’s future course of action while paying rich tributes to B. R. Ambedkar on his Jayanti at Telangana Bhavan.
Addressing the media, KTR outlined an aggressive political roadmap aimed at holding the Congress government accountable. He announced that BRS would organise public meetings at the same locations where the Congress had earlier made key declarations, stating that these gatherings would expose “unfulfilled promises” and remind people of the commitments made to various sections of society.
As part of the immediate schedule, a major public meeting has been planned in Jagtial on April 20, which will be attended by BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. The party will also mark its Formation Day on April 27, following which it will launch an intensified agitation campaign during May and June, with a special focus on outreach programmes for SC and ST communities.
KTR strongly criticised the Congress government, accusing it of betraying SC and ST communities and failing to implement promises made under various declarations. He alleged that welfare initiatives introduced during the previous BRS regime, including residential schools and scholarship programmes, are being neglected. He also charged the ruling party with misusing Ambedkar’s legacy for political gains while not honouring him in practice.
Reiterating Ambedkar’s message of “Educate, Organise, Agitate,” KTR called upon party cadres to take the movement to every village and tribal habitation, highlighting what he described as Congress’ “policy failures.”
The party leadership expressed confidence that the renewed mobilisation and targeted outreach programmes would strengthen grassroots support and re-establish BRS as a formidable political force across Telangana. Senior party leaders and former ministers participated in the event, where floral tributes were offered to Ambedkar’s portrait.
