Guntur, July 8:

Shree Cement Limited continues to strengthen community development across villages surrounding its Guntur operations through sustained investments in healthcare, education, drinking water, rural infrastructure, environmental conservation and workplace safety under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Through the Shree Foundation Trust and employee-led initiatives, the company remains committed to improving the quality of life of communities while fostering safer and more sustainable workplaces. Healthcare has remained a key focus area of the company's community outreach. During FY 2025-26, Shree Cement organised 47 health camps across villages surrounding its Guntur operations, benefiting more than 10,150 people through free medical consultations, health screenings, diagnostic support and medicines.

Over the past few years, the company's healthcare initiatives have benefited more than 20,000 people. The Mamatha Project continues to support maternal health through specialised quarterly medical camps for pregnant women. Further strengthening community healthcare, free eye screening camps were recently organised across Pedagaralapadu, Kachavaram, Thummalacheruvu and Inuparajupalli, where 1,650 villagers underwent eye examinations and 1,150 beneficiaries received free spectacles.

Recognising the importance of safe drinking water for community well-being, the company has strengthened drinking water infrastructure across surrounding villages. Drinking water supply support has been extended to Kesanupalli and Dachepalli Municipality, while multiple RO water plants installed across Pedagaralapadu, Kachavaram and Inuparajupalli collectively provide access to purified drinking water for approximately 20,000 residents, helping improve hygiene, public health and water security. Shree Cement has also continued to invest in strengthening educational infrastructure across the region.

During FY 2025-26, school sheds and tile flooring works were completed at government schools in Thummalacheruvu, benefiting around 1,150 students and teachers. Nearly 1,200 students and teachers across Pedagaralapadu, Kachavaram and Thummalacheruvu received sports materials to encourage holistic development, while classroom renovation works at Chinnagarlapadu improved learning conditions. The company has also continued supporting teacher salaries at M.P.P School in Pedagaralapadu and contributed towards educational infrastructure at M.P.P School in Inuparajupalli and the construction of an Anganwadi room, strengthening educational access across nearby villages.
