Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has added three more accolades to its credit, winning multiple honours at the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Telangana Chapter Conference titled “Telangana Rising-2047,” held in Hyderabad.
The board secured the first prize for a brochure designed to create awareness on groundwater augmentation within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits. The campaign effectively reached the public through various media platforms, highlighting the importance of groundwater conservation and sustainable water management practices.
In the Corporate Video Production Development Feature category, HMWSSB bagged the second prize for a documentary showcasing its 90-day special drive titled “Sewerage Overflow Free City – Hyderabad.” The initiative focused on promoting the construction of soak pits across the city to curb sewage overflow and improve urban sanitation standards.
The board also won another second prize in the “Best Layout & Design” category for a poster that provided detailed technical information on soak pit construction, aimed at encouraging scientific and practical adoption among citizens.
The awards were presented at a ceremony held at Tourism Plaza, Begumpet, on Sunday. The event was attended by dignitaries including retired IAS officer KV Ramana Chary, Telangana Press Academy Chairman Srinivas Reddy, and senior officials from the Information and Public Relations Department.
HMWSSB Managing Director Ashok Reddy congratulated the teams involved and appreciated their efforts in securing recognition at the national-level platform.
