Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone for the new Osmania General Hospital at Goshamahal today. The new Osmania Hospital, spanning 26.30 acres, will house an expansive 32 lakh square feet of modern medical infrastructure.

It will feature 2,000 beds and 30 super-specialty departments, including eight newly introduced ones, ensuring comprehensive healthcare services under one roof. Every room would have enough natural air and light, enhancing the overall healing experience for patients.

For ease of access and traffic management, the hospital premises will include wide roads on all sides. Additionally, a two-floor cellar parking system will be in place, making it the largest hospital parking facility in India. This ensures seamless accessibility for patients, attendants, and medical staff.

Advanced facilities for superior healthcare

The hospital will have dedicated operation theaters for each department, post-operative wards, and ICUs attached to every theater. A specialized transplantation department will facilitate kidney, liver, and skin transplants with cutting-edge technology.

Furthermore, a mortuary with international standards will be built, incorporating state-of-the-art facilities. Diagnostic services will be centralized on the ground floor, eliminating the need for patients to travel across different sections of the hospital. With a streamlined OP service structure, patients will experience hassle-free access to consultation services, supported by spacious waiting halls and optimized OP counters to accommodate up to 5,000 patients daily.

Nursing, dental, and physiotherapy colleges will be integrated into the premises, complete with hostels and an auditorium with a 750-seat capacity. A Dharamshala will be established within the hospital grounds to provide accommodation and free food services for patient attendants. Ensuring hygiene and safety, a robust sanitation and waste management system will be deployed. A dedicated fire station and police outpost will also be available within the premises, reinforcing safety and security measures.

Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha expressed his gratitude to the Police Department and the people of Goshamahal for their support in allocating 26.30 acres of land for the hospital. He reiterated that the remaining land of over 11 acres would still facilitate police operations as usual.
