Bringing an end to weeks of anticipation, Nara Lokesh on Thursday released the Class 10 (SSC) Public Examination results, announcing a statewide pass percentage of 85.25%, a notable increase of over four percentage points compared to last year.

Continuing a consistent trend, girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 87.90%, while boys recorded 82.68%, marking a clear 5.22% lead. Equally significant is the performance of government schools, where pass percentage rose to 78.39%, up from 72.8% last year, an indicator of systemic improvements in public education delivery.

The examinations were conducted from March 16 to April 1 across 3,415 centres, with around 6.40 lakh students appearing. Of these, 6,22,074 were regular candidates and 18,842 private candidates, reflecting the scale and administrative coordination involved.

Officials attribute the improved results to the department’s structured “100-day action plan”, executed between December 2025 and March 2026. The programme emphasized continuous assessment without student stress, featuring 46 slip tests, whose results were analysed through a real-time dashboard system integrated with the LEAP mobile app.

Students were categorised as “Shining Stars” and “Rising Stars”, enabling targeted academic support. Special doubt-clearing sessions, subject-wise interventions, and a 30-day residential programme for lagging students ensured that learning gaps were systematically addressed. The department also supplied free model papers and bilingual question banks, improving conceptual clarity and exam readiness.

Congratulating students, Lokesh said the results reflect “the collective effort of students, teachers, and families.” He urged those who did not pass not to lose confidence, assuring continued institutional support. “Every child’s success is central to Andhra Pradesh’s future,” he stated, adding that further reforms will focus on infrastructure, values-based education, and holistic development.

In a noteworthy trend, among schools that recorded zero pass percentage, a majority were private institutions, while only a handful were government schools, reinforcing the narrative of improving standards in the public system.

100-day academic drive lifts AP Class 10 pass rate to 85.2%

Andhra Pradesh recorded an improved Class 10 pass percentage of 85.2 in 2025–26, up from 81.1 last year, driven by a 100-day academic intervention. Implemented in government schools from December 2025 to March 2026, the programme focused on continuous assessment, data tracking, and targeted support.

Students took 46 slip tests, with performance monitored via the LEAP app, helping teachers address learning gaps. Learners were grouped by performance, with customised teaching, bilingual materials, and doubt-resolution support.

A 30-day residential programme aided weaker students. Government school results rose to 78.3%, narrowing the gap with private schools, while improved welfare measures boosted attendance and outcomes.
