AIDWA condemns the US-Israeli war on Iran

02-03-2026 12:00:00 AM

Women’s organisation AIDWA strongly condemned  the US and Israeli war on Iran today . In a statement, AIDWA  President P.K Sreemathi and General Secretary Kaninika Ghosh said that this naked show of imperialist power had led to devastation plunging the entire region into turmoil. “The worst affected of the war are women and children. The most inhuman attack on a primary school leading to the deaths of scores of children is the barbaric reality of the US imperialism. This attack on Iran is in violation of the basic principle of national sovereignty, international law and all U.N charters. Criticism or fight against their government is the right of the people of Iran. It is utter hypocrisy for the US to camouflage its imperialist aim of coercive regime change in the name of democracy. The imperialist aggression came in the middle of negotiations and thus shows that the US attack had other aims,” they alleged .

They said that the life and the livelihood of common people of that region as well as the Indians,  who are working there, were in danger and added that This horrific attack was a threat to Peace, and International security.

“We, on behalf of AIDWA, firmly express our Solidarity for Iran and Iranian people, especially women and children. This is a matter of shame as well as   grave concern that this attack took place after the immediate visit of Narendra Modi to Israel. The Government should take a firm position against this aggressive attack on its longstanding friendly country Iran and take urgent diplomatic initiatives for the necessary cessation of hostilities,” they said.

Trump's terrorist-like actions must be opposed: K. Narayana

CPI National Executive Member Dr. K. Narayana called upon the world to resist the authoritarian and undemocratic actions of the United States, describing its global interventions as destructive. He said targeting countries like Iraq, Venezuela, and Iran has only caused instability and warned that world peace cannot be achieved through such measures.

Speaking at a press conference in Vijayawada along with CPI State Secretary Gujjula Easwariah and National Executive Member Muppalla Nageswara Rao, Narayana highlighted key international and national concerns. He urged Prime Minister Modi to pursue an independent foreign policy, cautioning against India becoming subservient to the US.

Narayana criticized US actions against Iran, asserting that America, along with Israel, was attempting to isolate the country with unfounded allegations. He cited the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in Iraq and US attempts to destabilize Venezuela, which maintains large oil reserves and an independent policy. He also noted similar US-backed interventions in Chile and cautioned that leaders opposing American interests often face removal, regardless of their domestic popularity.

The CPI leader condemned Trump’s statements on global terrorism, calling him “a big terrorist,” and warned that India’s growing ties with Israel and strained relations with Iran could have economic consequences. He noted that India imports 2.6 million barrels of oil from Iran annually, worth around Rs. 1.60 lakh crore, and disruptions could raise fuel prices and living costs. Narayana also expressed concern for millions of Indians working in Gulf countries, saying instability in the region could directly affect their lives and livelihoods.

He concluded that India should safeguard its economic and strategic interests, while the international community must oppose policies that destabilize nations for superpower gain.
