Vietnamese EV maker VinFast has set a new benchmark by processing 3,520 electric vehicle orders in a single day on March 28, underlining strong demand and robust operational capacity.

The company said the figure—equivalent to monthly sales for some automakers—translates to about 146 orders per hour, or nearly 2.4 orders per minute. All vehicles have reportedly been processed and are ready for dispatch to dealerships before final delivery to customers.

The milestone has sparked widespread reactions online, with users praising VinFast’s production speed and efficiency. Many also pointed to rising fuel costs and growing environmental awareness as key drivers behind the surge in electric vehicle adoption.

Industry observers believe the company’s aggressive push into green mobility is beginning to pay off. Since 2024, VinFast has held the top position in Vietnam’s automotive market. In 2025, it delivered 175,099 vehicles, including a record 27,649 units in December alone.

Experts attribute this growth to VinFast’s expanding ecosystem, which includes a large charging network and widespread service infrastructure. With thousands of charging ports planned nationwide and ultra-fast charging hubs in the pipeline, analysts say the company is well-positioned to sustain momentum.

The record highlights a broader shift toward electric mobility, as consumers increasingly move away from fossil fuel-dependent vehicles.
