TRS president K. Kavitha has ruled out returning to the BRS, rejecting speculation that she would rejoin the party led by her father, K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Speaking in Kothagudem, she said there was "no question" of rejoining BRS.
Accusing the BRS of filing around 1,000 complaints with the Election Commission against her party's acronym, TRS, Kavitha demanded that the Rs 1,400 crore in the BRS's accounts be distributed to the families of Telangana martyrs. She alleged the funds were linked to corruption and sought Rs 1 crore for each martyr's family.
Kavitha also urged Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy to allot all Telangana coal blocks to Singareni Collieries without auctions. She warned of an indefinite fast after July 20 if the State government failed to address Singareni workers' demands, including jobs for dependents of medically unfit employees. BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan dismissed her allegations, saying she had been part of all major party decisions, including electoral bonds.
