As part of the National Road Safety month, the Hyderabad Traffic Police organized a traffic awareness programme at Ambedkar Square, Necklace Rotary, Hyderabad targeting auto drivers, inaugurated traffic awareness stickers and pasted them on autos to bring traffic awareness safety among citizens.
P Viswa Prasad Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad city visited as chief guest to the programme and addressed the gathering of about 400 auto drivers. Traffic Additional CP in his speech explicated the value of life and road safety in detail and quoted that “You should be the real Heroes of Hyderabad”.
Additional CP emphasized on the road safety and rules to be followed by the auto drivers and asked them not to park their autos on roads, bus stops, not to allow extra passengers, do not demand extra money with passengers and also requested them to keep boards carrying school children while carrying school children during school timings for their safety.
Commissioner also made a note on the “inevitability of observance of traffic rules” for their own safety and others too explained about traffic rules and regulations which are enforced to create traffic discipline in commuters and save precious lives of road users.
Traffic Additional CP along with DCPs and other officers inaugurated and pasted traffic awareness posters on backside of autos and flagged off the autos for creating awareness among other road users.
