Telangana shines in ‘Divya Bharat’ report

Minister for  Tourism, Culture & Excise Jupally Krishna Rao has termed the recognition accorded to Telangana in the “Divya Bharat” tourism report released by NITI Aayog as a proud moment, noting that it highlights the State’s diverse tourism strengths.

“It is a proud moment for Telangana to be featured in the ‘Divya Bharat’ report by NITI Aayog, which highlights the State’s diverse tourism strengths,” the Minister said on Tuesday.

He noted that attractions such as Hussain Sagar, Golconda Fort and Bhongir Fort, along with spiritual centres like Yadadri Temple and Bhadrachalam Temple, continue to attract visitors.

The Minister said that natural attractions such as Kuntala Waterfall and Bogatha Waterfall, vibrant festivals like Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, and traditional crafts including Pochampally Ikat further enhance the State’s tourism appeal.

Inviting tourists to explore Telangana, the Minister said the State offers a complete travel experience with its rich traditions, cuisine and natural beauty, and reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening tourism infrastructure and promotion.
