Tata Power Q3 profit rises marginally

Tata Power on Wednesday reported a marginal rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 1,194 crore for the December quarter, despite a decline in overall revenue.

The Tata Group firm had posted a net profit of Rs 1,188 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. According to a regulatory filing, total income during the quarter fell nearly 10 per cent to Rs 14,269.08 crore from Rs 15,793.43 crore in Q3 of the previous fiscal. Total expenses also declined to Rs 13,465.06 crore compared to Rs 14,249.35 crore a year ago.

For the nine-month period ended December 2025, Tata Power’s consolidated net profit increased about 7 per cent to Rs 3,702.04 crore.

CEO and Managing Director Praveer Sinha said the company recorded strong execution across generation, transmission, distribution, renewables and manufacturing. He noted that Tata Power crossed 10 GW of cumulative renewable EPC execution and expanded rooftop solar installations beyond 4 GWp. The company currently operates a diversified power portfolio of 16.3 GW.
