During a special event organized by the Japan Telugu Association, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed the diaspora, emphasizing the state's progressive agenda and inviting global collaboration for its development.
The Chief Minister called on the global Telugu community to play a role in the state's progress. “Every individual who contributes, even in a small way, helps bring Telangana closer to global standards. Share your ideas with the government — the satisfaction of developing your home land is something truly special.”
The Chief Minister highlighted Telangana’s notable achievements in the IT and pharmaceutical sectors and outlined his government’s commitment to further accelerating growth across key infrastructure domains. He announced plans to establish a dry port in Telangana, aiming to bolster international trade connectivity thus boosting economic growth.
Revanth Reddy shared his insights from visiting Tokyo’s Riverfront locations and linked it to his ambitious plan to rejuvenate Hyderabad’s Musi River. He described water as a symbol of both culture and progress in Indian society and expressed his firm commitment to cleaning and revitalizing the river.
Taking a strong stance, the Chief Minister criticized opposition parties for creating unnecessary hurdles in the execution of the Musi Rejuvenation Project. “Some groups are deliberately trying to stall this critical project. But we will not allow political roadblocks to derail the development of Telangana,” he asserted.
Drawing comparisons with Delhi’s pollution crisis — where schools and institutions are periodically forced to close — he emphasized the urgency of proactive environmental measures. “If Delhi can come to a standstill due to pollution, shouldn’t we learn from that and act decisively?” he asked.
Revanth Reddy identified Musi River Rejuvenation, Metro rail expansion, the Regional Ring Road, and development of Radial roads as essential pillars for Telangana’s growth. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to attracting investments, supporting industrial growth, and creating jobs. “Our aim is clear — more investments, more industries, and more employment opportunities for the youth of Telangana,” he said.

Addressing a programme organised by Japan Telugu Federation at Tokyo in Japan on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that Delhi was witnessing unchecked air pollution and the institutions are forced to declare holidays. "Don't we need to learn a lesson from the uncontrolled air pollution in Delhi where the public life came to a standstill. Taking a serious note of it, we have proposed to restore and rejuvenate the Musi river in Hyderabad," Revanth Reddy said.
He stated that Musi project, Metro Rail expansion, Regional Ring Road ( RRR) and Radial roads are being considered the most important to the progress of Telangana. "The State government's intention is to invite huge investments, promote industrial development and create more employment opportunities. We have achieved quite a lot of progress in the IT and pharma sectors in Telangana. In addition to this, the plans have been envisaged to establish a Dry Port in the State," Revanth Reddy said.
