Chandrayangutta police arrested five accused persons in Child trafficking case and seized activa bike, three wheeler auto, five mobile phones, Alto car and net cash of Rs 76,000 from them.
Accused persons identified as Syed Javeed Pasha (51), resident of Saleem Nagar colony, Shaista Parveen (40), resident of Shareef nagar, Parveen Banu (40), resident of Chilaknagar, Jawagi Sunitha Kumari (50), resident of Uppal and Kappala Rajendra Prasad (39), resident of Bhagat Singh Nagar.
On April 20, police received a complaint about the kidnapping of the five year old baby (girl) from Gandhi statue, near Bhramaramba wines. A case was registered and an investigation was initiated. Upon reviewing several CCTV camera footage, the location of the suspects' residence was identified.
A couple was taken into custody and, during interrogation, they voluntarily confessed to committing the crime. They revealed that they had sold the child (kidnapped girl) for Rs 1.30 lakhs to a woman named Parveen Bhanu residing in Uppal. A police team went to the location and successfully rescued the girl. At the time, Parveen Bhanu was again attempting to sell the child to two individuals named Sunitha and Rajendra Prasad.
The police apprehended them as well.
The investigation further revealed that Rajendra Prasad resides in Chintal and works as an agent at Nova Fertility Center, Banjara Hills and Sunitha Kumari runs a small first aid clinic in Chilukanagar. Both had previously been accused in a child trafficking case at the Vikroli Police Station, East Mumbai.
