BJP State vice-president and former MLA Dr N.V.S.S. Prabhakar said the Pahalgam terror incident had shaken the country and added that the attack was clearly seen as a brutal, demonic attack on tourists with very selective firing. Stating that the entire India is condemning this incident by expressing various types of protests, he said they were standing by the Central Government that India should act more strictly.
Addressing media persons at the Bharatiya Janata Party State Office in the city, he said at this juncture, the Central Government had basically announced some tough decisions. He said the people of India feel that the organizations, individuals and neighbouring countries that instigated terrorism would definitely have to pay the price. “There are reports in the newspapers that illegal immigrants, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, tourists and citizens, who have expired visas were still living in the old city of Hyderabad. The BJP is demanding that the police force should evict such people from the old city. For this, the BJP is demanding that the police be given freedom,” he said.
The NIA and IB have issued warnings on many occasions that there are sleeper cells in Hyderabad. The affairs of a Lok Sabha member, who is supporting them in various ways and standing as their voice, have also come to light. As an immediate precautionary measure, we demand the State government to demolish the sleeper cells illegally residing in Hyderabad and the old city. I would state that their political alliance and opportunistic alliance should not be such that they put the lives of the people at risk.
