BRS leader demands CBI, ED Probe
BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the Congress government, accusing them of rampant corruption and diverting thousands of crores from the state's coffers to the Gandhi family in Delhi. Speaking to the media after visiting party leader Balka Suman in Adilabad jail, KTR highlighted Revanth's alleged "RR Tax" collections, labeling them as a blatant tribute to Rahul and Sonia Gandhi.
KTR demanded immediate responses from the BJP-led central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had publicly accused Revanth of illegal tax collections during his visits to the state. "Despite the PM's own words on Revanth's irregularities, why is the BJP silent?
Why are central agencies like ED, CBI, and IT not acting?" KTR questioned, emphasizing that Revanth's admission of having Rs 1,000 crore ready for Delhi in just two years exposes massive looting of Telangana's public wealth. "This money isn't from your father or grandfather—it's the hard-earned sweat of Telangana people. How much more has been swallowed?" he challenged, urging citizens to ponder the scale of the plunder.
The BRS leader also criticized the Congress regime for abandoning farmers, pushing their welfare into an abyss. Under former CM KCR, Rythu Bandhu funds reached farmers' accounts by December, but even in March, Revanth's government has failed to disburse them. "They lack the wisdom to provide Rythu Bandhu, the sincerity for loan waivers, and even basic knowledge to procure Jowar and Cotton crops," KTR fumed, noting that farmers are suffering immensely due to this incompetence. He referenced Revanth's past involvement in the vote-for-note scandal, accusing him of now openly exploiting the state's resources to fund Delhi's high command.
KTR vowed that BRS's fight to protect Telangana's assets would continue until accountability is enforced. He called on the Central government to shed its protective shield over Congress corruption and initiate probes. "The discussion in Telangana isn't about public issues anymore—it's solely about the thousands of crores Revanth is siphoning to the Gandhis," he stated, reiterating the need for transparency and justice.
He urged all stakeholders, including the BJP and central agencies, to address these grave allegations and safeguard the interests of Telangana's people.
