Congress MLC Addanki Dayakar has demanded that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) appoint someone from the BC, SC, or ST community as the party's President. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, the Congress MLC said that BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao should make at least the party president someone other than from his family and questioned whether KCR had the courage to accept this challenge.
He remarked, "If KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, is truly courageous, he should assume the role of party president and lead his party to victory. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy managed to elevate the Congress party to power just two years after he became president."
Dayakar also questioned, "Who currently holds the position of Telangana state president for the BRS? And who serves as the national president? It is essential for KTR to clarify whether he is truly the working president or not. Is the BRS party operating for 25 years, or is this the TRS party? The TRS no longer exists in Telangana; the BRS has been active for two years now."
The Congress MLC accused the BRS party of primarily serving the interests of the BJP in Telangana, asserting that KTR was attempting to persuade Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to rejoin the NDA.
