District Collector Kumar Deepak conducted a surprise inspection of the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) at Rajeev Nagar in Mancherial on Monday. During the visit, the Collector reviewed the ongoing construction of additional classrooms in the school and issued several instructions to the officials concerned. Emphasizing student health and nutrition, the Collector instructed officials to supply nutritious food on time strictly as per the prescribed menu.
He inspected the kitchen and storeroom and advised the staff to strictly follow hygiene and cleanliness protocols during food preparation. Later, he visited the hostel of the nearby Model School, inspected the ongoing construction works there, and directed officials to complete the works at the earliest. Following the school inspection, Collector Kumar Deepak examined the construction progress of the new government hospital and the critical care unit being built on college road.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the government is establishing a new Government Hospital at a cost of Rs 129.25 crore and a Critical Care Unit with an investment of Rs 23.75 crore to provide faster and better medical services to the people.
