Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched a sharp attack on the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), accusing it of spreading misinformation over the ongoing DSC teacher recruitment process and attempting to mislead unemployed youth in the state.

Addressing the “Mee Bhoomi – Mee Hakku” programme held at Siddhantam in West Godavari district’s Achanta mandal, the Chief Minister said those who neither understand examinations nor reservations were trying to malign the government’s recruitment initiatives. He alleged that the previous YSRCP government had betrayed job aspirants by promising a job calendar but failing to deliver, whereas the present coalition government had already filled nearly 16,000 teacher posts through the DSC recruitment drive.

Chandrababu accused the opposition of indulging in false propaganda and political theatrics instead of engaging in constructive politics. Referring to the YSRCP as the Goddali Party, he said its leaders were more interested in creating controversies than addressing public concerns. He remarked that people who stage political dramas would not understand the struggles of farmers and agricultural workers.

The Chief Minister also alleged that the previous government had created unnecessary disputes in the Godavari districts by tampering with land records. He criticized the Land Titling Act introduced during the previous regime, describing it as a “black law” that could have compromised citizens’ ownership rights. According to him, the coalition government scrapped the legislation immediately after assuming office and initiated measures to protect landowners’ rights.

To ensure transparency and security in land ownership records, Chandrababu said the government was introducing technologically advanced pattadar passbooks equipped with blockchain technology, QR codes and multiple security features similar to those used in currency notes. He said re-surveys had already been completed in 6,688 villages and 2.646 million passbooks had been distributed to farmers. The government aims to issue a total of 9 million passbooks within the stipulated timeframe.

He further stated that significant reforms had been introduced in the Revenue Department and that 137,000 acres of service inam lands had been removed from the prohibited 22A list, benefiting thousands of landholders across the state.

Highlighting the coalition government’s achievements over the past two years, Chandrababu said both development and welfare had been brought back on track. He claimed Andhra Pradesh had attracted investment proposals worth Rs 20 lakh crore, creating new employment opportunities for youth. He also asserted that the government had delivered welfare benefits beyond those promised under the Super Six commitments.

The Chief Minister pointed out that under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, farmers were receiving Rs 20,000 annually with support from both the state and central governments. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to the development of the Godavari districts, describing them as the “rice bowl” of the nation.

Recalling the difficulties faced by farmers in selling paddy during the previous government’s tenure, Chandrababu said the present administration was ensuring payments were credited within 24 hours of procurement. He also highlighted support for aquaculture farmers, including subsidized electricity at Rs 1.50 per unit, and said the issue of rising feed prices had been taken up with the Centre. He expressed confidence that a favorable decision would be announced soon.

The Chief Minister said the government would continue to prioritise food processing industries and the aquaculture sector in the Godavari region to boost employment and economic growth.

In another attack on the opposition, Chandrababu questioned why the YSRCP leadership had not acted against a former Vinukonda MLA allegedly linked to a land scam in Telangana involving forged signatures of revenue officials. He also accused the previous government of allowing the Tirumala Laddu controversy to emerge, alleging that the sanctity of the sacred prasadam had been compromised.
