Dhanya Prasad Makes Impressive Kuchipudi Debut at Hyderabad

Former Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu Applauds India's Cultural Heritage at Dhanya Prasad Kuchipudi Rangapravesham 

Hyderabad, July 2026: Dhanya Prasad Kuchipudi Rangapravesham held at Shilpakala Vedika, Madhapur, drew appreciation from an audience of art enthusiasts and dignitaries. Former Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu attended the programme, along with Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Daggubati Purandeswari. The dignitaries inaugurated the program by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu emphasized that India's arts, culture, and traditions are the nation's greatest heritage and an invaluable treasure. India is home to 64 traditional art forms, and it is essential to recognize and appreciate the contributions of gurus and artists who have mastered these disciplines and are dedicated to transmitting them to the next generation. Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament D. Purandeswari, addressing the gathering, described Natya Shastra as not only a remarkable treatise but also a divine blessing bestowed upon humanity.

Dhanya Prasad began her debut Kuchipudi performance after receiving the blessings of renowned Kuchipudi exponents Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardees Dr. Raja Reddy and Dr. Radha Reddy, Kuchipudi guru Kaushalya Reddy, and her guru Yamini Reddy.

The artiste commenced the recital with Ganapati Vandanam, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Her repertoire included Shivas dance in Paraju ragam set to Adi Tala, Krishna Sabdam, Tarangam, in Mohana raga, and Geeth Dhunik Takatheyi in Dhanashree raga. With expressive abhinaya, rhythmic precision, and a graceful presentation, Dhanya impressed the audience throughout the performance. The Rangapravesham concluded with enthusiastic applause and appreciation from the gathering, marking a significant milestone in her Kuchipudi journey.
