In a major breakthrough, Rachakonda police arrested six members of an inter-state gang involved in an ATM theft at SBI Ravirala branch, where Rs. 29,69,900 was stolen. Four others remain absconding. The arrested accused include Rahul Khan, Musthakeem Khan, Waheed Khan, Shakeel Khan, and Mohammed Sarparaj, while key suspects Subdin Khan, Rafeeq Khan, Parvez alias Mannan, and Jahul Baddan Khan are on the run. The gang, hailing from Rajasthan and Haryana, used gas cutters to break open the ATM and escape with the cash.

On March 2, at around 1:55 AM, five accused arrived at the SBI ATM in a white Swift car, sprayed black paint on CCTV cameras, and used gas cutters to break open the ATM cash chest. Following a complaint from the bank’s deputy manager, Adibatla police registered a case and launched an investigation.

Multiple teams were formed under senior police officials, who analyzed CCTV footage, technical evidence, and human intelligence. Investigators tracked the gang’s movements and discovered their involvement in previous ATM thefts in Telangana, Odisha, and other states. The police identified the crime vehicle, which later re-entered Hyderabad on March 24.

During interrogation, the accused admitted to their involvement in multiple ATM thefts. Police recovered Rs. 4 lakh in cash, the crime vehicle, gas cutters, oxygen cylinders, mobile phones, and other tools used in the robbery, amounting to Rs. 9.5 lakh.
