Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police arrested two individuals involved in a large-scale business and investment fraud. The accused, Amarnath Singh (39), CEO, from Dwarka, Delhi, and Ranveer Singh (46), marketing head, from Palam Village, Delhi, were apprehended for cheating multiple victims across India.

A 32-year-old businessman from Hyderabad filed a complaint after being tricked by cyber fraudsters who promised lucrative business orders. Believing their claims, he paid Rs 9.5 lakh in registration and other charges. The fraudsters sent fake emails about high market demand for his products and, after receiving the money, severed all communication. Realizing the scam, he approached the police, leading to the arrest of the accused.

The accused were involved in 17 similar cases across India, including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, West Bengal, Bihar, UP, Punjab, Delhi, Karnataka, MP, and Telangana. They contacted victims through social media, calls, and messages, luring them with fake business opportunities. After collecting payments for registration and legal fees, they disappeared.

Police seized four mobile phones and company documents used in the fraud. The case was cracked by Inspector K. Prasada Rao and his team. Authorities warn businesses to verify companies before making payments and avoid upfront fees. Victims of cyber fraud can seek help by calling 1930 or visiting cybercrime.gov.in.
