Ashraf Ganyani wins silver and bronze in big bore shooting

Hyderabad-based businessman and competitive rifle shooter Mohammed Ashraf Ganyani has won two medals at the 300M Rifle Prone Big Bore Events – 2026, held at the OCTOPUS Shooting Range, Ibrahimpatnam from August 18 to 21, 2026. Ganyani secured the Silver Medal in the Deccan Elite Open Big Bore Grand Prix – 2026, scoring 273/300 in the 300M Rifle Prone Men Individual event. He also won the Bronze Medal in the II Telangana State Shooting Championship Competitions – 2026, in the 300M Rifle Prone Men Individual category, with a score of 273/300.

The four-day championship, organized by the Telangana Rifle Association, featured three major competitions — the II Telangana Big Bore Shooting Competition – 2026, Deccan Elite Open Big Bore Grand Prix – 2026 and 2nd Telangana Super Big Bore Open Shooting Competition – 2026. Amit Sanghi, Senior Vice President, National Rifle Association of India; President, Telangana Rifle Association and Vice President, Telangana Olympic Association, congratulated the participating athletes.

Mohammed Ashraf Ganyani said that he is extremely happy to have secured Silver and Bronze medals in these two major 300M Big Bore competitions. “I will continue to train hard and aim for greater success at the National level, with the goal of bringing pride to Telangana and India”,  he mentioned.
