Young India Police School should be developed as national role model: CM

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that Young India Police School be developed as a national role model, similar to Sainik Schools. CM unveiled the Young India Police School website and a brochure on Saturday at the Police Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Banjara Hills.

Speaking on this occasion, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the need to adopt innovative approaches in the education system and stressed the importance of prioritizing sports in the curriculum. CM also recommended that children of police martyrs' families should be given first priority in admissions in Young India Police School.    

During the event, the Chief Minister reviewed school uniforms, in preparation for the admission process starting from the 2025-26 academic year. 50 percent of the admissions are reserved for uniformed personnel and the remaining 50 percent will be open for the public. The fee structure will be different for the various categories of home guards to ASI ranks, SI to Additional SP rank and IPS and the open category and very affordable.

The event was attended by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand, Additional DGP (Operations) Stephen Ravindra, and other senior officials. The team of officers led by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand have been working for the last two months to make it a reality and all the government permissions, lease deeds, MOUs, recruitment of principal, GM and teachers and the basic infrastructural works have been completed. The school will be opened by the CM on March 31, 2025.
