Visvesvaraya’s Legacy Celebrated

Engineer’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Visvesvaraya Engineering College in Patel Guda, Ibrahimpatnam Constituency, on Tuesday, with speakers urging students to work hard and use their skills for the betterment of society.

Dr K. Shivakumar, Scientific Officer, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, who attended the programme as the chief guest, said success could be achieved only through consistent hard work and determination.

Guest of honour M. Devanand of PH&ME, Telangana, called upon students to showcase their talents and remain committed to serving society and the nation. College Secretary K. Lakshmi Narayana urged students to take inspiration from renowned engineer Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and strive for excellence through hard work.

He said the institution was named after Visvesvaraya as a tribute to the visionary engineer. Treasurer B. Srinivas Reddy, Principal Dr D. Ramesh, Heads of Departments, professors, faculty members, students, college staff and other dignitaries attended the celebrations.
