Veteran travel professional Dr Valmiki Hari Kishan has been elected President of Skal International Hyderabad 606 Chapter for the 2026-28 term. He secured the highest majority in the election and will lead the city chapter of the global travel and tourism professionals’ organisation.
The new board includes Pankaj Sampath and Rubin Cherian as Vice Presidents, Earnest Immanuel as Secretary, Ravi Agarwal as Treasurer, Ramakrishna as Director-Membership Development, Srinivas as Director-PR and Communication, and Mohan Krishna as Director-Young Skal. Thanking members for their confidence, Dr Valmiki said leading the Hyderabad chapter was a privilege and responsibility. The new board would focus on member engagement, networking, professional relationships and Young Skal initiatives. The chapter hosted the Skal International World Congress in 2017. Skal International, founded in Paris in 1932, has around 12,500 members across more than 290 clubs in over 75 countries. India has over 1,400 members through 20 regional clubs.
