21-03-2026 12:00:00 AM

The Telangana State Budget presented by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is a progressive roadmap aimed at transforming Telangana into the No.1 state in India. The government’s strong emphasis on education, skill development, and job creation is highly commendable and reflects a clear commitment towards building a future-ready and empowered society. The focused investments in education and skilling initiatives will equip the youth with industry-relevant capabilities, while the thrust on employment generation will significantly strengthen the state’s economic foundation.

The continued push for infrastructure, industrial expansion, and urban development further enhances Telangana’s position as a leading investment destination and growth engine. While welcoming these positive measures, the trading community would like to highlight certain key concerns that require immediate attention. The complexity of GST compliance and delays in refunds continue to create operational challenges for traders.

Pending subsidies and incentives to MSMEs need to be cleared at the earliest to improve liquidity and business confidence. Additionally, rising operational costs, including power tariffs and logistics expenses, are impacting business sustainability. There is also a need to develop modern trade infrastructure such as wholesale markets, warehousing, and streamlined transport systems.

Ensuring a level playing field for local traders against large e-commerce platforms is equally important to protect traditional businesses. The trading community is confident that the government will address these issues with the same commitment, ensuring ease of doing business and inclusive growth across all sectors.
