Vasavi Matha Jayanthi held at collectorate

The first-ever official celebrations of Vasavi Matha Jayanthi by the state government were held grandly on Sunday at the Kamareddy District Collectorate. Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Madhu Mohan garlanded the portrait of Goddess Vasavi Matha and led the celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, Madhu Mohan said that the state government has, for the first time, decided to officially organize Sri Vasavi Matha Jayanthi celebrations across the state.

He added that the district administration has accordingly conducted the event in a grand manner at the Collectorate. He informed that the government has instructed all districts to celebrate Vasavi Matha Jayanthi every year on Vaishakha Shukla Paksha Dashami as an official state program under the aegis of the District Youth Services and Sports Department. Additional Collector Madhu Mohan lit the ceremonial lamp and offered floral tributes to the portrait of Goddess Vasavi Matha.

Representatives of the Arya Vysya Sangham and other dignitaries participated in the program. The event marked a significant milestone as it was the first time the Telangana state government officially organized celebrations for Vasavi Matha Jayanthi at the district level.
