The NTR district administration has made extensive arrangements to ensure the Krishna-Guntur Graduate MLC constituency elections are conducted peacefully and transparently. Speaking to the media, NTR District Collector and Election Officer Dr. G. Lakshmisha stated that all necessary steps have been taken to prevent any disruptions during the polling process.

On Wednesday, Dr. Lakshmisha visited the election material distribution center at the Sub-Collector's office in Vijayawada to review the preparations. He inspected the checklist to verify the availability of essential polling materials. Officials briefed him on the arrangements for distributing ballot boxes, ballot papers, and other polling equipment to presiding and assistant presiding officers at designated distribution centers in Vijayawada, Tiruvuru, and Nandigama.

He assured that sufficient vehicles and security personnel have been deployed across 18 routes to transport polling staff and materials without any inconvenience. The district has a total of 78,063 eligible voters, and arrangements have been made to facilitate their participation in a peaceful voting environment. Additionally, 450 police personnel and quick response teams will be on standby to handle any emergencies.

To ensure complete transparency, webcasting will be implemented in all 112 polling stations, and micro-observers will be deployed at each location to monitor the voting process. Given that this election will be conducted using ballot papers instead of EVMs, polling staff have undergone two-phase training to familiarize themselves with ballot box management and proper election procedures.

Following the completion of polling, ballot boxes will be transported to strong rooms under tight security. Dr. Lakshmisha emphasized that the entire election process will be conducted in strict adherence to the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines and the Model Code of Conduct.

He also acknowledged the crucial role of the media in ensuring fair elections and urged political parties, candidates, voters, and officials to actively participate in the democratic process.
