There is a need to encourage women: Justice Surepalli

Telangana High Court Judge Justice Surepalli Nanda said there was a need to encourage women to grow in all fields.

On Saturday, the International Women's Day was celebrated by the Development and Welfare Association of the Blind (DWAB) at the Indian Medical Association hall in Koti of the city. Justice Surepalli Nanda, was the Chief Guest at the event.

Speaking on the occasion, she conveyed her best wishes to the women on the occasion and felicitated the blind alumni who were educated in Nalgonda blind school run by DWAB and settled in higher jobs, the teachers, the staff and the donors with a shawl. In her message, she suggested that the women should be financially empowered. She said that the country can develop only if it was encouraged educationally, politically, socially, economically.

Senior Advocate Sofia Begum expressed happiness that the women were excelling in the current competitive world. Vidya Bharathi Alumni Parishad Sangathana Secretary Telangana, DWAB General Secretary and AICB Vice-President Ponugoti Chokka Rao, DWAB President Anjaiah, Treasurer Parameshwara, Secretary K Srinivas and others were present at the event.
