The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA), led by General Secretary Dharam Guruva Reddy, has urged the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to immediately suspend and dissolve the current Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) administration, alleging large-scale governance failures, election fraud and financial irregularities.

In a representation invoking multiple provisions of the BCCI Constitution, TCA sought an independent three-member committee to oversee HCA affairs and demanded an immediate halt to the proposed TG20 League and related franchise activities.

The complaint refers to the ongoing CID probe in Crime No. 02/2025, under which former HCA president A. Jagan Mohan Rao was reportedly arrested in July 2025 over allegations of financial fraud and criminal breach of trust. TCA alleged that despite Telangana High Court directions for supervised functioning of HCA, the same power structure continues through “illegal committees” and “unconstitutional governance mechanisms.”

TCA also questioned the legitimacy of the March 2026 HCA elections, alleging a “pre-arranged unanimous election” and manipulation of voting rights through the alleged “Oxford Blues Cricket Club duplication fraud.” It sought forensic verification of all HCA membership and election records from 2018 to 2026.

The association further alleged that the proposed TG20 League is an attempt to commercially exploit Telangana cricket through franchise rights allegedly worth Rs 120–150 crore, bypassing genuine district cricket stakeholders.

TCA demanded suspension of TG20 operations, disciplinary proceedings against those involved and expansion of the CID investigation into alleged financial and election-related irregularities.
