SCR RPF up the ante in January 2025

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of South Central Railway under “Operation Yatri Suraksha,” the RPF arrested 34 criminals involved in theft and recovered stolen property worth Rs 71.26 lakh, leading to the registration of 30 cases. As part of “Operation Amanat,” the RPF recovered 264 lost items belonging to passengers, valued at Rs 60.80 lakh, and returned them to their rightful owners.

In an effort to combat drug smuggling, “Operation NARCOS” led to the arrest of 12 drug smugglers and the seizure of Rs 21.16 lakh worth of ganja. Under “Operation Nanhe Fariste,” the RPF rescued 91 children (70 boys and 21 girls) and handed them over to Child Welfare Committees (CWC) for rehabilitation.

Taking action against human trafficking, “Operation AHT” resulted in the rescue of 16 boys and 7 girls from traffickers. The RPF also saved one passenger’s life under “Operation Jeevan Raksha.” To curb illegal liquor transportation, “Operation Satark” seized Rs 85,348 worth of illicit alcohol, which was handed over to the Excise Department.

“Operation Upalabdh” led to the arrest of 25 touts and the seizure of 120 live railway tickets worth Rs 2,06,279. Utilizing CCTV technology, the RPF arrested two criminals and recovered Rs 1.30 lakh worth of stolen passenger belongings. Lastly, under “Operation Rail Suraksha,” the RPF recovered stolen railway assets worth Rs 8,17,082 and registered 39 cases to bring the culprits to justice.
