Rangareddy District Health Officer Dr. Venkateshwar Rao has issued a stern warning against unauthorized medical practice, stating that criminal cases will be filed against those who exceed their permitted scope of treatment.
On Friday, Deputy DMHO Dr. Vijayalakshmi, along with health department officials, conducted extensive inspections in Shadnagar. During the operation, four unauthorized RMP and PMP clinics Keerthi Poly Clinic, Praja Vaidyashala, a clinic behind Raja Medical Hall, and Manishwini Clinic were identified and sealed for operating without proper approvals. Show-cause notices were issued to several other clinics.
Dr. Rao emphasized that RMPs and PMPs must not use the title ‘Doctor’ or display boards with terms like ‘Hospital’ or ‘Vaidyashala.’ He warned that unqualified practitioners posing as doctors have been jeopardizing public health, and strict action will be taken against them.
The health department will continue inspections for the next week, keeping a close watch on unauthorized medical establishments in the region. Citizens have been urged to seek treatment only from qualified doctors to avoid potential health risks.
