The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone, Hyderabad along with Civil Supply Officials, Yakutpura Circle and Chandrayangutta Police apprehended one accused person who is transporting the PDS rice illegally to earn easy money.

Accused person has been identified as Mohammed Yousuf (45), working as DCM driver and resident of Indira Nagar in Borabanda. Two persons Viquor and Aleem of Chandrayangutta were absconding in this case. Police have seized 103 quintals of PDS rice and DCM Van, all worth Rs 4 lakh from the arrested accused person.

The accused Mohammed Yousuf used to collect the PDS rice from Viquor and Aleem and transported the material for onward transmission to Maharashtra state and earning easy money illegally. The main accused Viquor and Aleem are collecting the PDS rice from the PDS card holders at low rates and the same is selling to the needy customers in huge quantities and also transporting the same to the Maharashtra State through the accused Yousuf by using his DCM van.

Basing the credible information the Task Force, South Zone along with Civil Supplies officials and Chandrayangutta Police have arrested the accused person Yousuf while he was transporting the PDS rice in his DCM Van near Vijaya Diagnostic Centre, Chandrayangutta and seized the material. The apprehended accused and seized PDS rice handed over to Chandrayangutta Police through ACSO, Circle-II, Yakuthpura, Hyderabad for further action.
