The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone Team, Hyderabad along with Mangalhat Police arrested three persons, who are playing prohibited cricket betting and providing line numbers to the punters. Police have seized net cash of Rs 1,04,000, Samsung LED TV and six cell phones total worth of Rs 3,00,000 at the instance of accused persons.  

Accused persons were identified as Vicky Singh (38), resident of Nala Machilipura in Dhoolpet (bookie), V Rakesh (39), resident of Dhoolpet (Sub-bookie) and B Sandeep (26), working as Mandi labour and resident of Chaknawadi in Goshmahal (Punter).

The above said accused persons are residing in Mangalhat area. Due to the habit of betting the above accused persons procured line numbers from the main bookie Shailender, resident of Chennai, Tamilnadu and accepting cricket betting in IPL-2025 at Nala Machilipura in Dhoolpet. For that they are using line numbers to accept bets from punters on live cricket matches. On the tip of information, the Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone Team, Hyderabad along with Mangalhat Police apprehended the above said accused persons and seized material handed over to SHO Mangalhat PS for further investigation.
