MP trainee collectors praise Prajavani system

Forty trainee deputy collectors from Madhya Pradesh said the functioning of Telangana’s CM Prajavani is a model for other states, during their visit to the 233rd session held at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

They observed grievance handling procedures including online forwarding of applications, issuing receipts, departmental action taken reports, and systematic follow-up. They said the transparent mechanism and patient handling of public issues were highly inspiring for their professional training.

They later met CM Prajavani in-charge Dr G. Chinna Reddy, who explained the implementation process and informed them that about 74 per cent of grievances are being resolved. The trainees also enquired about the NRI Prajavani initiative, which was explained by Mandha Bhim Reddy, vice-chairman of the NRI advisory council, who briefed them on its progress and outreach.

They appreciated citizen-centric governance model and said they would study it for replication in their administrative practices back home in Madhya Pradesh districts in future governance training.
