GHMC Commissioner reviews special revision preparations

The District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner on Wednesday reviewed preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and sensitized election officials on the distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms (EFs).

A comprehensive meeting was held at the GHMC Head Office with 15 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), 93 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), 15 District Trainers and 406 BLO Supervisors. The Commissioner stressed the importance of ensuring smooth and accurate execution of the revision process to achieve complete voter coverage.

Officials were instructed to ensure proper distribution of Enumeration Forms to eligible voters, timely collection of the forms, verification of information submitted by electors and accurate uploading of data through the BLO App. The Commissioner emphasized that meticulous implementation of each stage of the process was essential for maintaining the integrity of electoral rolls.

The election machinery was also directed to work in close coordination with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to promote transparency and facilitate the successful completion of the revision exercise. Detailed guidance was provided on standard operating procedures and best practices to be followed during field-level activities.

During the session, officials were sensitized on the dos and don’ts for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and supervisors. The Commissioner highlighted the need for impartiality, professionalism, accurate data entry, strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines and timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
