Hyderabad: Labour and Mining Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy held a meeting with leaders of various caste associations at Chennur Municipality on Thursday. As part of the program, the minister first conducted a special meeting with leaders of the Gouda community associations and later participated in the election campaign activities underway in Ward No. 16 of the municipality.
During the meeting, Minister Vivek Venkatswamy handed over sanction letters approving Rs 25 lakh for the construction of a building for the Gouda community association. Emphasising that development is possible only through people’s unity, the minister stated that the Congress government is taking forward welfare and development by involving all sections of society.
On this occasion, the minister appealed to the people to ensure a resounding victory for the candidates supported by the Congress Party in the upcoming municipal elections. He assured that after the party comes to power, Chennur Municipality will be developed into a model town.
The minister has been campaigning in the Chennur assembly constituency along with ward councilor aspirants and expressed his hope that Congress party will win big in the constituency.
