Nara Lokesh, the Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, has announced that Mangalagiri will get a 100-bedded hospital within the span of one year.Speaking at a house-site distribution event in Yerrabalem, the Minister outlined several key development initiatives for the region.At the event, which was part of the Mana Illu-Mana Lokesh program, Lokesh distributed house-sites to 354 individuals from Tadepalli Drivers Colony, Salam Centre, Undavalli Centre, Seethanagaram, and Padmashali Bazar.
Addressing the gathering, Lokesh shared his commitment to enhancing healthcare in Mangalagiri with the launch of a 100-bedded hospital. The foundation for the hospital was laid on Sunday, and the minister pledged its completion within a year. He highlighted that the hospital project was sanctioned shortly after the TDP-led NDA government came to power, securing approval at the second Cabinet meeting.
He marked the occasion via social media, expressing, “The people of Mangalagiri have held a 30-year aspiration for a 100-bed hospital. I pledged to fulfill this aspiration within a year. Today, I am fulfilling that promise by participating in the ground-breaking ceremony for the hospital's construction.”
He further stated, “I took a photograph of the foundation plaque installed by the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao during the 1984 groundbreaking ceremony for the Vayvisi Cancer Hospital. Forty years ago, the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao laid the foundation for a 30-bed hospital in Mangalagiri town. It is a moment of great satisfaction for me to now initiate the construction of a 100-bed hospital, four decades later.
” Further, he announced plans to launch key infrastructure projects in June, including underground drainage, a new drinking water supply, and power projects. As part of his ongoing efforts to enhance public amenities, he revealed that a new park had been inaugurated in Mangalagiri and that land had been allocated for the construction of 17 community halls, two of which are already under construction.
