Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh on Monday inaugurated the third day of “Mana Illu Mana Lokesh”(Our House Our Lokesh-pattas distribution program) program in Mangalagiri constituency. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said. He recalled in a lighter vein how he told CM Chandrababu Naidu that he would get more votes in Mangalagiri than what the CM got his constituency Kuppam.
He assured that he will take the responsibility of solving any problems which the people of Mangalagiri have. Minister Lokesh said that handloom cluster for weavers and similarly a gems and jewellery park for the goldsmiths of Mangalagiri assembly constituency will be constructed soon. He also assured that he will give them pattas which are easy this year.
Minister Lokesh said that the government is distributing niveshana pattas to the poor in the open market giving permanent rights over assets worth about Rs 1,000 crores. The minister inaugurated the program of handing over pattas to the of the poor with the slogan “Mana Illu Mana Lokesh” at Don Bosco High School in Mangalagiri. As part of the first day's schedule, Lokesh distributed pattas to 546 people . All of them were given new clothes and photographed with Minister Lokesh along with their families.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Minister Lokesh said that as per the promise made, more than 3,000 pattas are being distributed in the first phase. He said that it is likely to take some more time in the case of lands belonging endowments department and railway lands. “It is very difficult to get pattas for those living in streamlands and forest lands. Still, I will do it. It may take three years. The foundation stone for the 100-bed hospital will be laid on May 13. Works on underground drainage, gas, pipelines and underground power lines will also start in Mangalagiri in the next two months.” Nara Lokesh mentioned on this occasion.
