Gram panchayat meeting halls for conducting community mediation

As per the instructions of Collector, Kamareddy, the District Panchayat Officer of Kamareddy district permitted to use the Gram Panchayat Meeting Halls for conducting the Community Mediation by the Community Mediation Volunteers, who were trained by the Telangana State Legal Services Authority.

Today, Justice Sujoy Paul, Acting Chief Justice, High Court for the State of Telangana & Patron-in-Chief and Executive Chairman, Telangana State Legal Services Authority and Justice Pulla Karthik, Judge, High Court for the State of Telangana and Administrative Judge of Kamareddy District, have virtually inaugurated the 12 Community Mediation Centres set up in the Gram Panchayat Meeting Halls for resolving the minor disputes.

On the occasion, Justice P. Karthik, Judge, High Court for the State of Telangana, addressed the volunteers that establishing the Community Mediation Centres is a step towards resolving the disputes at the grass root level which will be benefited to the litigant people. Justice P. Karthik congratulated the Community Mediation Volunteers for establishing the Community Mediation Centres.

Justice Sujoy Paul, Acting Chief Justice & Patron-In-Chief, and Executive Chairman, TSLSA, congratulated the Community Mediation Volunteers for establishing the 12 Community Mediation Centres at various places of Kamareddy District. His Lordship have also addressed that these Community Mediation Centres can be utilised for resolving the matrimonial disputes, other minor disputes and the issues pertaining to the Senior Citizens which are increasing day by day and by using the services of the Community Mediation Volunteers in the Community Mediation Centres, settle the matrimonial disputes, the issues pertaining to the senior citizens and other disputes.

The District Administration i.e. the Collector of Kamareddy, Superintendent of Police, Kamareddy and DPO, have shown their interest in setting up of the Community Mediation Centres and they have taken a pro-active role in establishment of Community Mediation Centres in Kamareddy District, which is a good gesture and It shows their interest in resolving the disputes at the initial stage itself.

If the Centres function effectively, this may be a gain changer and will be useful for the litigant public in resolving their disputes. On the occasion, the Chairman, District Legal Services Authority have also congratulated the Community Mediation Volunteers who have come forward to serve the society voluntarily without expecting anything.

Ch.V.R.R. Prasad, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Kamareddy, Ch. Panchakshari, Member Secretary, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, Ashish Sangwan, District Collector and District Magistrate, Kamareddy and the Additional Superintendent of Police, Kamareddy, the District Panchayat Officer, Kamareddy, and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Kamareddy and the Community Mediation Volunteers, public participated and witnessed the virtual inauguration of the Community Mediation Centres. The Registrars of the High Court have also participated in the virtual inauguration.
