Demands for Action: Calls for contract cancellations, blacklisting KLSR, and central intervention by Union Minister Kishan Reddy to expose corruption and money laundering

Bharat Rashtra Samithi Working President KT Rama Rao has launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of misusing public funds by diverting thousands of crores to his alleged benami company, KLSR Infra. In a press conference, KTR presented evidence linking the CM to the company, highlighting financial irregularities, ineligible contract awards, and attempts to influence judicial proceedings. He urged the Central government to intervene via CBI and ED, and called on Union Minister Kishan Reddy and BJP to prove their integrity by pushing for investigations, rather than shielding Revanth.

KTR claimed that KLSR has long operated as Revanth Reddy's benami entity, a fact widely known. He pointed out that the company faced Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax raids in 2018, during which links to Revanth's relatives and companies like Sai Mourya Estates and Bhupal Infra were uncovered. Funds were allegedly transferred between these entities for tax evasion and land purchases, with transactions traced back to September 27, 2018 raids on Revanth's relatives. KTR noted that Revanth, then PCC President, used a Land Cruiser purchased by KLSR even after becoming CM, underscoring their close ties. He labeled Revanth a "Benami Master" who acts as a proxy for Delhi leaders, criticizing his history of dodging scandals over the past two years.

The BRS leader revealed that KLSR filed for insolvency in 2023 under the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), leading to a ban on its financial transactions following a dispute with ASMET on July 23, 2023. Despite this, under Revanth's regime, the company secured contracts worth approximately Rs 6,000 crores in schemes like AMRUT, Jal Jeevan Mission, Young India Residential Schools, irrigation projects, and road works, including in the CM's own constituency under the municipal administration department. KTR questioned how a bankrupt firm lacking even Rs 15 lakhs for employee salaries could submit hundreds of crores in bank guarantees for these bids, demanding the CM explain the eligibility.

KTR alleged judicial interference, stating that in the NCLT case, attempts were made to pressure Justice Sharath Kumar through a high court judge, prompting the justice to recuse himself and expose the matter. He claimed Revanth influenced NCLT judges to favor KLSR, enabling it to continue operations despite insolvency. Further, KTR disclosed that the Supreme Court issued notices to the Telangana government just a week ago, ordering probes into KLSR's irregularities, including judge management, massive fund inflows despite bankruptcy, and ineligible contracts. The court directed investigations by CBI, ED, and Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) at both central and state levels.

Accusing Revanth of concealing these Supreme Court notices to protect his benami interests, KTR said the CM orchestrated a diversionary drama from Davos by issuing SIT notices on phone tapping, targeting KTR, Harish Rao, Santosh Rao, and BRS chief KCR. He emphasized that this scam involves not just corruption and abuse of power but also criminal conspiracy and money laundering, vowing to expose more irregularities.

KTR demanded immediate action: a fair CBI inquiry into the entire affair, cancellation of all KLSR contracts, suspension of ongoing works, and blacklisting the company until the Supreme Court probe concludes. He called for the central and state governments to halt KLSR's operations pending a comprehensive investigation to safeguard public funds. Additionally, KTR urged Kishan Reddy to exert pressure on the Centre for swift probes, proving BJP's commitment to integrity.

In a calculated move to deflect scrutiny from his own alleged financial improprieties, Revanth Reddy orchestrated a diversionary spectacle through the issuance of Special Investigation Team (SIT) notices related to a phone-tapping case, targeting T Harish Rao, himself, party leader Santosh Rao, BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, KTR alleged. According to him, this tactic was deployed precisely when the Supreme Court had issued notices to the State government demanding probes into the irregularities surrounding Revanth's purported benami company, KLSR Infra, which involved thousands of crores in public funds being diverted to ineligible contracts despite the firm's bankruptcy status. By directing these SIT interrogations from Davos amid an international trip, Revanth aimed to shift public and media focus away from the damning judicial directives for investigations by central agencies like CBI, ED, and SFIO, effectively burying the exposure of his links to judicial interference, money laundering, and abuse of power under a veil of political retaliation against opposition leaders, KTR alleged.
